How should I care for my bag?
Most of the textiles used in our bags are handmade in small communities across the continent using traditional methods. Once received, they are carefully cleaned and treated to prevent most stains and spills. You can spot clean the cloth as necessary.
Leather should be treated regularly to keep it supple and clean. Avoid storing your bag in direct sunlight or in a sealed plastic bag as these can cause the leather to dry out and fade.
Tell me more about the beautiful textiles
All textile inserts have been handmade in African communities where weaving and dyeing have been in existence for hundreds of years. Their imperfections and oddities add character make each bag unique, while still maintaining a high level of quality. The leather may also include beautiful original markings form the cow's life, such as scarring, welts, brand marks and more.
With your bag, you will receive a "story" about the textile itself, describing its history and the process of its creation.
Custom and personalized orders
A limited number of custom orders may be considered. Please contact us with your request.
The item I want is sold out. Is it coming back?
Because each cloth is unique and sourced directly from the maker (or a close family member), it means that some items are only available in small quantities and may therefore sell out quickly.
If something you want is out of stock, please contact us and we'll let you know if that item (or something similar) is due to become available again.
Where do you ship?
Orders can be shipped anywhere in the world. We have a $15 flat rate for first class, tracked, international shipping. A tracking number will be provided to you once the parcel has been shipped.
